Everything changed, She knew

Everything had changed, she knew. We think we will understand it in a serious conversation, in consultation with a psychologist, in a strong prayer, but no. The insight, the click in the mind happens subtly, in a silly conversation, having a coffee, watching your favorite series, waking up, and taking a deep breath. It’s in a subtle way that the punch of what we didn’t want, what we pretended not to see, what we ran away from, comes. There’s no point running. It’s when we get distracted that reality comes and hits. Everything had changed, she knew. She finished her coffee, wiped her tears, and left.
